HOOVERVILLES

A Hooverville was a shanty town built by homeless people during the Great Depression. They were named after Herbert Hoover , who was President of the United States during the onset of the Depression and widely blamed for it. The absence of housing was present before the Big Depression, and vagabonds and unemployed men were common at sight in the decade of 1920 but the economic crisis increased its number and concentrated them on the urban establishments near to the popular dining rooms administered by charitable organizations.

The Grapes of Wrath was wrote by John SteinbeckIt is inspired in the decade of 1930,when the United States suffers a big economic crisis after the crack of 29.

FLAPPER

Hi, my name is Jane, I'm 35 and I am happily married  by the biggest banker of the city. We live in a huge house in the centre of London. I don't have a job, it's my husband the one who works. On Fridays I wake up and I play the piano while my husband is in his job. In the afternoon I organize the party that we do in our house, to the party go: the influential personages of the city and the big charges. I prepare myself, I make my self up and brush my short hair. i take my dress that is bellow the knees, my pearls necklaces, my long gloves and let's go to the party!!
